this is where the four conductor cable is cut to length.
shown is the variation of permanently attaching the USB cable .
leaving the white connector on will allow easier removal for servicing .
note : if you have a problem with "reversed vertical cursor response" , flip the four conductor connector .
also , with my install , i left the white connector on the board and married the *new* USB cable to the mating connector via the pigtail/splice...
