i strongly suggest replacing the protective cover on the front of the touch screen to prevent damage during the next few steps .

this is where the four conductor cable is cut to length.
shown is the variation of permanently attaching the USB cable .
leaving the white connector on will allow easier removal for servicing .
note : if you have a problem with "reversed vertical cursor response" , flip the four conductor connector .
