Gobi 2000 Panasonic VID/PID

Hello,

I am trying for some time to figure out which one is the OEM Panasonic Gobi 2000. Some sellers have the OEM one but in reality is HP or Fujitsu.

For Gobi 1000 the Panasonic VID/PID is 0x04da/0x250d.
I have a Gobi 2000 with VID/PID 0x05c6/0x9205 but not sure if it is the Panasonic OEM one.

If someone can post a "lsusb" from Linux would be perfect. In Win I don't know how to check it exactly, it was in Device Manager somewhere under the serial port if I remember correctly.

Hi All,
I want to know if it's possible to use Qalcomm (T77Z039.01 LF REV:08L9) HP un2400 Mobile Broadband Module in my Panasonic CF-19EH203TW (MK1) OS Windows SP3.

If yes let me how to do it , the driver i should install , the dip switch configuration ...

I've been registered here for a while although I never posted anything, however I'm having some trouble/ideas for some laptops I got (buyed/got for free) and I want to get a bit more knowledge/skills on laptops so I'll be active now.

Now about my Toughie, I got her in 2013 from a company that was selling CF19, Mk1,2 and 3 toughbooks, I bought a MK1 for 200€ but I belive it's a MK2 (CF-19HH203NW) I received, because I had a lot less knowledge than now, it took me a while to set everything...

CF-C2 Optional Kit Configuration

9I've bought a CF-C2CCAZXCM from the US (I'm in the UK). I've happily changed to the drive to an SSD, upgraded the RAM and installed a UK Keyboard, but I'm struggling to install a VGA port ... I think the reason is because this piece of kit needs to be specified in the BIOS, and the part of the BIOS where changes are made is password protected .. which seems a bit mean given Panasonic sold me the VGA port in the first place! Does anyone know how to get past that password? Help very much...

Win 10 on CF 18 N

Finally took the plunge, thought nothing to loose, Win 10 on a Cf 18 N, that the update icon said can not update to Win 10????

Kept saying that Intel Mobile Graphics card 910 GSM and 915 GSM where not compatible.

Well I tried last 2 days to get my TWO (2) CF 18 N models up with Win 10 , or I was going to sell them and get 2 CF 19s.

Helps if you have win 10 upgrade icon in taskbar.

I had originally installed Win 7 Pro N,........ European version without media player programs.

I gave my year old CF-52MK4 laptop to my granddaughter for Christmas and whated to do a restore to it first. So I loaded the restore disk in it and 45 minutes later it was restored to the factory setting. Then I went to M$ update to get it all updated...problem. I wanted to pick and chose which ones I wanted so then I clicked "get updates". Well it checked for updates for 24 hours and nothing ?? Well in the end I had to pick download and install them .It took 8 minutes to do it. Guess M$...

Shawn had a stroke yesterday morning. (12/22) He contacted me and said it was o.k. to share the information.

Yesterday afternoon he said his speech was better. This morning he had an "angio thing". (Shawn's words) and it went well...no Doctor's report yet.

I'll ask later for a snail-mail address. He resides in Pennsylvania.

Updates as I get them as long as my network...

the other day i received an email from M$ that said there will be some changes to their mail service that may impact (read non-delievery) "windows live mail" client (etc) as well as a few of their email services (eg : hotmail.com) .
to prevent an interruption of serve a link to a *patch* was provided .
i downloaded it and tried to run it ... fail .
sooo i did some recon and google-fu on my '30 ... "houston , we have a problem ...":...

CF-30 , Windows 7 and strange video problems

Since 2 weeks, i have installed Windows 7 sp1 on my Panasonic toughbook CF-30 mark3. But now i have a problem with the video chip. Very often (several times an hour), the screen gets a bit garbage. Pixels turn into stripes.. Not the whole screen is then garbage, just a small part. Always on another place. When I move my mouse pointer above the garbage screen part, it often turns good again. This happens while in Firefox, but also on the standard desktop screen or other programs.

Finally getting one. Came across one on Ebay for a decent price. A$610 was the final price. It's supposed to be a VGC. THere is another FZ-A1 currently on Ebay Australia with a $1200 price.

I haven't seen one in person yet, but I want it instead of a CF18/19 style notebook PC to take in my work bag.

I have zero idea of what options can be got for it in terms of expanding memory, etc. I don't know if they have any restrictions on what mobile networks they can connect to, but I do believe...

CF 31 mk3 Construction site edition

I was going to do my CF 31 in black, but the paint job just went wrong every time I tried.
So I made a construction site edition instead.
The paint looks just like the safety neon yellow/ green. Trimming it in black really makes it stand out. I left the front bezel silver for now. I may do it in the yellow/green also. I need to visualize it for a while.
Now I need to install the SSD and Fingerprint reader. GPS is in and working.

how to check a toughbook worth to deal ?

gays, I found another dealer for CF-19 Mk6 and offer to face to face transaction. So like the title how or which part should i check to confirm that device should be deal?

Last time, I know that toughbook's bios password can not be wipe and without the password can not install other part like GPS, wwlan, fingerprint reader by ourselves. So any hits for the deal check?

have you noticed that no matter what you do with the windows "color correction" utility in vista or W7 the look of the monitor has something left to be desired ?
sadly , what can be achieved with that utility is severely limited .
the proof of this was trying it out on a '31 led back light lcd ... uuuggghhh .
the blue is very "hot" and does not "track" with the red and green . it actually did not cut off (think towards black) ... this made a slight blue "wash" over the whole picture .

1) Ask a seller an actual picture of the item for sale if it is not listed as actual item. Ask more pictures if you are still not satisfied.

2) Make sure the unit has no or free of bios password. If there is, ask a seller If he knows what it is. If not, walk away unless you know what you are doing.

3) Accumulated time on the bios page of the actual unit for sale. It is the most crictical point on purchasing the unit mentioned. It will identified how the screen brightness is affected....
