A few days before, i desided to buy a CF-19 Mk5(used of cause), and yesterday i found Mk6 with same seller. So not make me a hard choice between Mk5 and Mk6. i give the spec of the two model of the seller and price.

CF-52 memory and cpu usage at idle

I just reloaded my CF-52 SLGDD1M with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and used the factory all in one driver file off the Panasonic site. But now at idle CPU usage fluctuates between 4 and 24% and the memory usage of an 8 GB computer 24 to 28%. Is this normal? It seems high for a machine at idle. My CF-31 doesn't run this high nor do any other of my computers. It has nothing loaded on it other than the factory drivers and is current with Microsoft updates. It has between 62 and 73 processes running...

Received it on Monday and can't put it down ! I have been using a CF-30 MK2 and CF-30 MK3 for many years and decided I wanted a faster, more updated TB. This is definitely a move in that direction.

Any ideas??

I have an RV and want to put in a central computer for internet/files/etc. I have a ton of CF-29/30 screens and parts. Is there a way to Remote them?

Put one by the Driver for GPS navigation instead of a whole computer, one on a cupboard, things like that.

Hi ,the last few days I've been reading the posts as a guest in order to find a solution for my new (used) cf19 mk3.
I got it a week ago and so far everything works with win7 Proff, except the gobi (Qualcomm) 1000 card.
The bios wwan is enabled and in the hardware management is missing the drivers. I tried so far drivers from other companies and the software available in the US site but with no result since I am located in Europe.
I made sure the card is physically installed (ic: 2723A-UNDP1...

Issue with new 54.

When I had this configured I was torn between getting the DVD drive or the 2nd battery. On the 54 they are mutually exclusive. Unlike the 30 where we can pull the drive out and insert the battery.
My issue is that the 2nd battery is not being detected. Not in the BIOS, DM, FN9 or anywhere. I called support yesterday and they are going to over night me another battery tomorrow. A small part of me says the battery is not the issue.
Have you guys seen this issue before and what are you...

Well I was surprised my cf-29 my only work laptop did not want to take a charge from either of my two chargers. I need the laptop for work so I had no choice but to look to craigs list for another touhbookreplacement
Came across a near new cf-29 for 299.00. Called the sseller and I have purchased a power supply from him before.He wants to sell one no warentee and it has windows 10. I personally do not like 8 or10. I asked if he had the windows 7 disk he said " I have windows 7 ultimate on...

I have a CF-52FKN10AM. The screen is becoming dark around the edges but still bright in the center of the screen. I suspect the inverter is going bad. It has the 15.4" WUXGA screen. Will any CF-52 inverter work (MK1, MK2, MK3, etc)? I also have an inverter from at CF-74J. Wonder if it might work?

Finally getting one. Came across one on Ebay for a decent price. A$610 was the final price. It's supposed to be a VGC. THere is another FZ-A1 currently on Ebay Australia with a $1200 price.

I haven't seen one in person yet, but I want it instead of a CF18/19 style notebook PC to take in my work bag.

I have zero idea of what options can be got for it in terms of expanding memory, etc. I don't know if they have any restrictions on what mobile networks they can connect to, but I do believe...

Hello, i came here because i could need some help with my Toughbook CF-52 MK2 (CF-52GDN30AG).

First of all, i know it was stupid, but i tried to change something in the BIOS ROM and now i have a problem.
The system is still working, but there is something wrong.

Every time i start the laptop, i see the blue panasonic screen like normal, but the next step is just a black screen with the line "Press <F2> to enter setup".
It does not boot anything. But if i press F2 (or DEL) i get into the...

Hi again , my new toy is a CF-30 mk2 with 4gRam and 80G HDD. Today I got a brand new intenso 128G sata III ssd, I cloned the old drive and installed it in the toughbook. The computer doesn't boot at all and I can't even enter into setup with F2, I just see a blinking cursor in the upper left corner.
When I hit ESC during the F2 screen I get a glimpse from the post where the ssd is recognized among other things as drive 0, then the mouse and then we go to the blinking cursor.

Anyone updated Toughbook SX2 to Windows 10 successfully?

Panasonic abandoned support for the SX2 even while it is still being sold at full retail. That means there are no drivers for Windows 10 posted from Panasonic. But Panasonic dealers offer the SX2. Some even show the "free Windows 10" logo.

I'm wondering if anyone has actually upgraded their Windows 7 SX2 to Windows 10, and what you could say about the process.

I've got an old CF-51 at work that I've been doing upgrades to as a hobby project.

I already successfully did a CPU upgrade ($5.50 on eBay for an extra 35% speed ain't bad), and since the hard drive is going I figured I'd try for an SSD upgrade on the cheap.

Rather than getting an IDE SSD, I went with a good SanDisk mSATA SSD paired with a well-rated mSATA to IDE adapter. If I'd realized SATA to IDE 5.25" caddies were available so cheap, I'd probably have gone with one of those to start,...

Not sure where this is going.
Other than we get many threads started from guys who seem to have buyers remorse.
A cheap Ebay deal is not as cheap as the buyer expects.
What are the hidden costs of your first Toughbook?
What are the hidden PITA's of a Toughbook.
Why is an i5 in a Toughbook slower than an i5 in anything else?
Can drivers and the BIOS really be as difficult as the long timers here say? Or are the long timers just old farts who don't know anything?
