CF-19 Mk4 Audio Not Working - display/audio conflict?

Hi,

I have a Mk4 CF19 that was running Win 8, but now running W10 and have been struggling with getting the Audio working.

I couldn't get any sound out of it despite running the latest drivers, etc until something triggered a display driver error and then the sound came on.

The display driver is Driver Revision: 15.17.15.64.2281
The audio driver is the Conexant 4.115.0.60 driver.

Touchscreen on cf-30 doing weird things

Our robotics team has 5 toughbooks with model number 30caqazbm. After much playing around with the software I was able to get 2 of the touchscreens to work.

Shortly after, one of them stopped working, and then later the other one stopped.

I have tried updating and downgrading the bios, updating and downgrading the tscreen drivers, and taking all of the backs off and jiggling the digitizer cables.

What is strange is that if I turn the wires to the digitizer upside down, then all 5...

CF-29 What drivers (and OS) do I need for my 3G to work?

Hello.

I recently bought a CF-29. I was promised this had 3G capabilities if I plugged in a working sim with activated 3G. I did and nothing happened. I am assuming this is because I do not have the correct drivers?

How do I check this? It is running windows 7 so I think I need to downgrade to XP since the drivers are for XP (is it ok to use SP3 since the drivers are only updated until SP2?)

How do I know if it actually has this capability? The number is: CF-29HTT40BG it has working...

I know the forum is primarily for mod discussion but you folks have always been willing to pitch in on the few times I've had an issue and I'm hoping one of the veteran experts can help me once more.

CF29 is there a wifi on/off switch?

Since I've owned this machine, the wifi has connected to wireless networks as soon as it boots up. I was writing an email today and clicked send, got a screen that says 'no wireless networks connected make sure your wifi switch is turned on'.

As you know, there is no hardware switch for the CF29 (mine anyway). Is there a certain key combination or something, such as FN xx, or CTRL xx?

I went to device manager and it says the adapter is working properly etc. Any help appreciated, I kind of...

I just recently acquired some MK1 CF-31 toughbooks and want to upgrade them to GPS.

I have over a hundred dead MK1 CF 30 toughbooks that have the GPS option and was wondering if the GPS modules inside the 30's can somehow work in the 31's.

Upon inspection, the GPS ribbon cables LOOK the same size and the module even looks like it can fit (with slight mods) where it supposed to inside the 31.

Can a CF-31 running Windows 8 also run a Wireless Carrier?

I recently upgraded my Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 operating system to Windows 8.1 and I was wondering if it were possible to still run my Wireless Carrier Application for a Gobi 2000 card. Can it be done? I got a error message saying the Misc Driver can't be located. So I'm going to try and install that first as it need to be installed first but any help would be appreciated.

I have a used CF-19MK4 bought at a swap meet with some kind of IT lock, When booting into windows7 it thows a screen that says to reset this call IT support at xxx-xxx-xxxx, (the phone number is disconnected). Worried about a WARM laptop, I called Panasonic and was told the laptop was NOT stolen. I can get into the bios and have disabled all security. I'm not too thrilled with some of the limitations in how you can and cannot configure these things but I think I got as close to what I wanted.
I got the 500GB mechanical drive and only 4Gb memory. I'll slap a Samsung SSD in it along with more memory as soon as I get it.

CF-19 RS232 Comms Issues

I am going to try here first as I think this is an issue based around the "Panasonic" hardware setup. I use this stuff everyday, but I am usually using a wireless Bluetooth Serial comm setup to talk to my automotive ECU. Relevant? This is on com 40.

Today, I need to use the port on the back of the computer. I use a port check program and get a hit on com 3. Message is:

9600 baud
"s"ing 's'
115200 baud
"s"ing 's'

I test the serial comms on the ECU, jumping the processor, using hyper...

SD Issue on 30MK3

Strangest thing has started regarding use of SD cards. When I insert the card something is touching/moving the tab for the write protection. I have a lot of cards and all but 1 of them does not get moved.
Anybody encountered this issue? It's really become a pain in the arse!

I would like to update my CF31 from an HDD to an SSD. I have a Samsung 850. After reading a couple threads on this site it sounds like I need to purchase an additional caddy. At least I want to. Where can i buy them?

Also, it looks like the SSD is not a plug and play into the caddy. What type of modifications need to be done to the caddy to make the SSD fit?

Since 2 weeks, i have installed Windows 7 sp1 on my Panasonic toughbook CF-30 mark3. But now i have a problem with the video chip. Very often (several times an hour), the screen gets a bit garbage. Pixels turn into stripes.. Not the whole screen is then garbage, just a small part. Always on another place. When I move my mouse pointer above the garbage screen part, it often turns good again. This happens while in Firefox, but also on the standard desktop screen or other programs.

My brother-in-law (the car guy in the family) successfully got Win7 installed and working on his mk5 (CF-18NHHZXBM), saw the number of driver issues and promptly asked me (the computer guy in the family) for help.

Hi, can anyone guide me in using a larger external monitor for a CF-C2 and CF-19 MK3? I know nothing about the technical side of resolutions and monitors

I think the CF-C2 has a max resolution of 1366 x 768 and the 19 has 1024 x 768 so will i be able to increase either of them to make use of a larger monitor? I don't have one to try and don't want to buy one (second hand) and it not work out. I've seen some talk of getting 1920 x 1200 from a CF-19 but it didn't say how and would that same...

CF31 HDMI Multi-monitor Hookup

Does anyone have experience with hooking up two Monitors using HDMI on both monitors? My experience so far is that it cannot be done on this model of Toughbook. I can hook one up VGA and the other up as HDMI and it will work in extended mode, but not both HDMI.

Can I use an HDMI splitter? Any experience using HDMI to USB?

On a CF-19 CHBAXBM (Mk 1, it seems), upgraded to Windows 7, after several month of correct working, now, 9 times out of ten, the lower right button "back to destop" stays lit, as if the Windows+D button was sticked pushed. Okay I thought I got a screaming deal on eBay for two genuine Panasonic power adapters... Well turns out they have the wrong cable ends. Specifically where they plug into the computer.

I usually ignore the part numbers, since many of us know just how many part numbers there are and that "just about" every Panasonic adapter fits every Panasonic computer. So I thought... I contacted seller, already have a response back willing to refund me not even ten minutes later (that is awesome...
